ISN Mentorship Abstract Awards recognize the three top-scored WCN’24 abstracts submitted by recent ISN mentees after collaboration with their mentors in the ISN Mentorship Program.
Dr. Doreen Nanyunja is a dedicated medical doctor with over 10 years’ experience who has committed her career to serving the community through work at Naguru Hospital, a public hospital. She holds a master’s degree in Global Health from the University of Edinburgh, which has provided her with a comprehensive understanding of healthcare systems and public health challenges on a global scale. Additionally, she is an Internist with special interest in nephrology, where she focuses on advancing knowledge and improving outcomes of people with kidney disease through research.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Nanyunja is passionate about medical education and actively mentor medical students and residents through sharing her expertise and fostering the next generation of healthcare professionals. Outside of her professional duties, she is involved in community outreach programs aimed at promoting general health and wellness. She is committed to addressing healthcare disparities and improving access to quality care for all individuals, regardless of their background or socioeconomic status.
