A dynamic day at the congress!
In addition to a scientific program ranging from acute kidney injury epidemiology and outcomes to challenges implementing green nephrology in low-resource countries, WCN’23 was animated today with lively talks on the spotlight stage, awards ceremonies, table talks networking, and poster presentations.
 Today's Highlights
Plenary Session: Genomic Medicine for Kidney Diseases: Lessons Learned From IgAN for Disease Pathophysiology And Management - the Brenner/Dirks Lecture
Another day of outstanding scientific content started with a plenary session from Ali Gharavi.
He reviewed advances in genomic medicine and their application to the diagnosis, management and identification of potential drug targets for IgA nephropathy.

2023 ISN Global Kidney Health Atlas: Key Findings from the Third Edition
The ISN-GKHA Steering Committee presented the third edition of the ISN-Global Kidney Health Atlas (ISN-GKHA) today during a special session on the spotlight stage.

The ISN-GKHA provides a snapshot of health system characteristics and elements specific to chronic kidney disease and kidney failure across countries and regions according to the WHO’s “building blocks” of health systems. The ISN-GKHA is updated every four years.
Spotlight Stage Sessions
From social media to sustainable nephrology practices, the spotlight stage hosted six interactive sessions today. The ISN Emerging Leaders and Sister Centers Programs were also highlighted.
