What difference did you make through the Educational Ambassadors training?
As Regional Advisor of the Saving Young Lives (SYL) initiative, my task has been the training and the educational activity in the care of AKI through dialysis with specific address on PD. Through 2-3 weeks trainings in Abidjan, Dakar, Haiti that I did alone and those in Cotonou and Cape Town I did with Prof. Mignon McCulloch and other friends, some 100 young doctors have been formed on AKI treatment and PD. I am particularly proud of the start of the neonatal PD activity in Dakar, Senegal where Dr. Younoussa Keita first dialyzed a neonate with AKI in 2019.It’s hard to predict for how long the present pandemics will affect the EAP activity. As a French- and English-speaking person, my wish is to continue to teach in Africa, a place with millions of contradictions but where the future is in the eyes of those young doctors. Just look…
