How did the ISN Emerging Leaders Program help you grow as a leader?
The ELP is a fantastic platform for those starting out in advocacy work where teamwork, networking and solving problems together coupled with the right mentoring is integral to achieving their goals. It has broadened my perception and help me see problems which are further than my own country. ELP had individuals from all corners of the world who brought to the table different problems but similar passion and attitudes to the rest of the group. It taught me that heterogeneity of a group does not mean that a problem cannot be solved collectively.I was already working on a new concept called “Fikir Transplant” which translates to “Think Transplant” and is basically a call to both the public and professionals to think, read and google the complex topic of organ donation and transplantation.
ELP has helped me better this concept by helping me develop a long-term plan to make it work.
