ISN-KI Editorial Fellows are early–career professionals and academics working in the field of nephrology, dialysis, and transplantation, who work and learn with the Kidney International® editorial team for two years.
Dr. David Tunnicliffe is a senior research fellow (level C) at the Sydney School of Public Health, The University of Sydney, in Sydney, Australia. He works within the Cochrane Kidney and Transplant team at the Centre for Kidney Research, The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, in Sydney.
Dr. Tunnicliffe is a recipient of an Australian National Health and Medical Research Council Emerging Leadership 1 Investigator Grant (APP1197337). His research expertise lies in the development and implementation of living evidence and living guidelines that truly matter to patients, with a focus on eliciting patient priorities for healthcare and research, particularly in chronic kidney disease.
Dr. Tunnicliffe provides methodological leadership in developing national guidelines and contextualising international guidelines to the region as the scientific director of the Australian and New Zealand Guideline Developer for kidney disease (CARI Guidelines). He also leads an evidence review team within Cochrane Kidney and Transplant, providing evidence reviews for international guidelines, including the Kidney Disease: Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO) clinical practice guidelines.
