ISN Mentorship Abstract Awards recognize the three top-scored WCN’25 abstracts submitted by recent ISN mentees after collaboration with their mentors in the ISN Mentorship Program.
Dr. Anisha Gerber is a pediatric nephrologist and an assistant professor at the University of Virginia, in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA. She was connected with Dr. Nivedita Kamath at St. John’s Medical College in Bangalore, India, through the ISN Mentorship Program in 2023 while completing her pediatric nephrology fellowship. She has benefited tremendously from Dr. Kamath’s mentorship in their joint research interests, including addressing global disparities in pediatric CKD diagnosis and outcomes.
Dr. Gerber also has a research interest in how environmental toxicants impact pediatric kidney health and is grateful to the ISN for its support of a pediatric cohort study in a CKDu-endemic region in India.
