The ISN welcomes expressions of interest and nominations for the leadership position of
ISN Renal Pathology Working Group Deputy Chair
Open to all ISN members in good standing
Deadline to apply is 30 September 2022
The ISN welcomes expressions of interest and nominations for the position of ISN Renal Pathology Working Group Deputy Chair, succeeding Carmen Avila-Casado who will become Chair of the Renal Pathology Working Group in replacement of Wesam Ismail from the ISN World Congress of Nephrology 2023 (WCN’23).
The purpose of the Renal Pathology Working Group is to build on the expertise of ISN to bridge gaps in renal pathology expertise and provision throughout the world. The Renal Pathology Working Group seeks to do this by fostering inter- and intra-regional knowledge and resource exchange.
This is a volunteer leadership position for a period of 2 years, and the Deputy Chair is then expected to succeed the Chair at the end of their 2-year term. There is no honorarium attached to this role. ISN staff provide operational support to the group, and the Chair and Deputy Chair are supported by a working group with regional representation which contributes to review and approval of submitted proposals.
The main work of the ISN Renal Pathology Working Group is to understand the concrete needs of diagnostic renal pathology and laboratory techniques to support renal pathology, recognizing that they may be different in each region of the world, in order to agree to activities that are relevant and have optimal impact, and seek partnerships with any organization that may help achieve its goals. The Renal Pathology Working Group ordinarily has a face-to-face meeting at the WCN and/or other events as applicable..
This call for expressions of interest and nominations is open to all ISN members in good standing.
