Gender Differences in Experiences and Expectations of Haemodialysis in a Frail and Seriously Unwell Patient Population
In a study assessing the experiences of patients on dialysis, males were more likely to prioritize achieving physical goals, whereas females were more likely to prioritize wanting to feel well and reported feeling depressed. Recognizing that men and women approach treatment expectations differently could improve personalized care plans for patients on dialysis.
