Drug Repurposing in Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease
The search for more effective drugs to slow down the progression of autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) is urgent and challenging because the use of tolvaptan, the only drug approved to treat ADPKD patients with rapid disease progression, is limited by reduced tolerability from aquaretic effects and potential hepatotoxicity.
This review explores drug repurposing approaches to identify suitable drug candidates to treat ADPKD and the prioritization and implementation of drugs with a high probability of success.

Unmet Needs of Chronic Kidney Disease in Latin America: A Review from Expert Virtual Working Group
This meeting report reviews discussions held in a virtual meeting of opinion leaders from Latin America in January 2022 to address the status of CKD in various Latin American regions.
The panel emphasized the need for early kidney function evaluation to prevent CKD development, the importance of raising kidney health awareness among healthcare professionals, authorities, and the general population, and the need for updated clinical practice guidelines and regulatory policies in the region.
