The International Society of Nephrology and the Indian Society of Nephrology are pleased to announce the ISN Frontiers Webinar series supporting the ISN Frontiers Meeting “Infections and the Kidneys” .
ISN Frontiers Webinar webinar on “Planetary Health, Biodiversity and Sustainable Healthcare”
Environment change has been called as the greatest 21st century public health threat. In addition to warming temperatures on the planet, increasing scale and frequency of natural disasters, there has been an increasing erosion of biodiversity. All of these have implications on health and healthcare delivery, with the greatest impact on the disadvantaged populations. Health systems also contribute to environmental degradation. Sustainable healthcare requires a whole of society approach to adaptation and mitigation mechanisms.
ISN Frontiers Webinar webinar on “Planetary Health, Biodiversity and Sustainable Healthcare”
Organized in collaboration with the Indian Society of Nephrology, the webinar on the topic “Advances in Infectious Disease Diagnostics” will be the second webinar in the lead-up to the ISN Frontiers Meeting “Infections and the Kidneys.
Infection remains a frequently encountered problem in nephrology and kidney transplant practice. New technologies can have the most impact on bacteriology, virology, mycology, and parasitology diagnosis. Newer point-of-care tests pave the way for prompt diagnosis of infectious diseases, especially in resource-limited settings. Rapid diagnosis, in turn, enables timely and effective patient-centric management.
