ISN Mentorships foster meaningful connections between experienced nephrologists and early-career professionals, creating a ripple effect toward advancing kidney care worldwide. The program offers a valuable opportunity for mentors to share knowledge, use their collaborative skills, and gain the personal satisfaction of helping others.
Mentorship is a two-way street, as mentors benefit from the collaborative process. Rahul Chanchlani (Canada), an ISN Mentor, former ISN Emerging Leaders Program member, and newly appointed deputy chair of the ISN Clinical Research Program Committee, published a paper on medication-induced kidney injury written with input from mentees from India, Australia, the United States, and Nigeria, including one paired with him through the ISN’s mentorship initiative.
