1. Nominate a potential candidate for ISN president-elect
The ISN Nominating Committee seeks nominations for potential 2025-27 ISN president-elect candidates. The Nominating Committee will shortlist three candidates from the nominee pool to stand in the elections scheduled for November 2024. All ISN voting members will be invited to vote for one candidate to become ISN president-elect.
- Role: The ISN president-elect deputizes the president, who is responsible for leading the ISN in constant coordination with the executive committee. The president-elect serves on the executive committee as a voting member and on the ISN council as a non-voting member.
- Term: The president-elect’s term will begin at the ISN World Congress of Nephrology 2025 (WCN’25) and end at WCN’27, when the president-elect will assume the role of president, serving until WCN’29.
- Eligibility criteria: Nominees must be current or former ISN executive committee or council members and ISN Full members. They must also consent to be nominated. Nominators must be ISN voting members. Self-nominations are not permitted.

They act as the “eyes and ears” of the ISN across its entire range of activities and facilitate engagement with ISN Affiliated societies. The regional boards are led by a chair, and deputy chair. Regional board chairs and deputy chairs also sit on the ISN council.
