These visual aids serve as practical references for nephrologists, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals caring for patients with heart and kidney conditions.
The toolkit comprises five practical infographics, including content on:
- Indications, monitoring and managing hyperkalemia
- Monitoring and managing acute changes in kidney function
- Dietary approaches
- Elements to consider when talking to patients about RAASi therapy
The RAASi Toolkit was led by the ISN in collaboration with the American Society for Preventative Cardiology, the Heart Failure Association of the European Society of Cardiology, the Kidney Disease Improving Global Outcomes, and the Renal Physicians Association to advance the prevention and management of cardio-renal complications.
