Advancing Knowledge on CKD Treatment and Prevention: The ISN Supports Scientific Meeting in Macedonia
Delegates enjoy the program
In April, the ISN supported the “7th Congress of the Macedonian Society of Nephrology, Dialysis and Artificial Organs (MSNDTAO) With International Participation” in Skopje, Macedonia, through its Continuing Medical Education Program (CME).
The scientific program included an ISN CME course, “From Prevention to Best Treatment Options in CKD.”
Dr. Goce Spasovski presents on ISN activities
The ISN supported two speakers to attend the meeting, Dr.Vladimir Tesar (Czech Republic) and Dr. Lionel Rostaing (France). Dr. Tesar presented on
chronic heart failure and the kidney and SGLT2 inhibitors versus GLP-1ra treatment in diabetic kidney disease. Dr. Rostaing discussed maintenance immunosuppressive regimens and incompatible kidney transplantations. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions and engage with speakers and MSNDTAO representatives individually and in group settings.
According to Dr. Goce Spasovski (Macedonia), ISN Eastern and Central Europe Regional Board member and MSNDTAO president, raising awareness of the early detection and prevention of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and treatment options that positively impact healthcare expenditure is needed in Macedonia, which is an emerging country.
He commented, “We are grateful to the speakers for the timely content and fruitful discussions and to the ISN CME Committee for providing valuable support to hold the event.”
