Read the WKD 2024 Advocacy Brief on Breaking Barriers to Equitable Kidney Care and Advancing Optimal Therapeutic Management of Kidney Diseases
The 2024 World Kidney Day (WKD) advocacy paper was released on Thursday, 7 March.
WKD advocates a multi-stakeholder approach to reduce inequities in kidney care access and optimize quality care for all.
The paper outlines the multiple factors impeding optimal access to kidney care and offers policy recommendations on breaking these barriers and advancing the best therapeutic management of kidney disease.
Recommendations include prioritizing chronic kidney disease (CKD) as a global health priority, improving early detection of CKD, and ensuring first-rate treatment, medication and care worldwide.
The ISN actively supports WKD in advocating for comprehensive solutions to break down global kidney care barriers and save lives.
