Adewale Akinsola to Receive the ISN Africa Pioneer Award at NANCONF 2024
The Scientific Conference and Annual General Meeting of the Nigerian Association of Nephrology (NANCONF) will take place February 18-22, 2024, in Abeokuta, Nigeria.
The meeting provides a fitting occasion to present the ISN 2023 Pioneer Award for the ISN Africa region to Adewale Akinsola from Nigeria.
ISN President Masaomi Nangaku will highlight ISN activities and regional opportunities and introduce the Pioneer Award in a pre-recorded talk on February 20 at noon West Africa Time (convert to your time zone here).
Fatiu Arogundade, ISN Africa Regional Board chair, will highlight Professor Emeritus Akinsola’s extensive achievements, which include establishing a kidney care and training program at Obefemi Awolowo University, being a pioneer member of the Nigerian Association of Nephrology and serving as their president from 1996-98.
As a supported ISN Continuing Medical Education meeting, talks will be presented by Valerie Luyckx (Switzerland), Hany Hafez (Egypt), and Henrietta Okafor (Nigeria).
