The first Ravi Mehta ISN Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) Fellow, Nurul Zaynah Nordin (Malaysia), recently completed her fellowship in critical care nephrology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in the UK. She has now returned home to Malaysia to put her training into practice.

Dr. Nordin comments, “During my fellowship program, I was privileged to gain clinical experience, which widened my perceptions and knowledge of new and available treatment modalities worldwide, especially in developed countries. This exposure has given me a better understanding of critical care nephrology and increased my confidence in managing my ICU patients.”
Dr. Nordin had the opportunity to meet Dr. Ravindra Mehta in person at the annual AKI & CRRT conference in San Diego earlier this year.
The second Ravi Mehta AKI Fellow, Pamela Marie Imperial, from the Philippines, was selected earlier this year. She will shortly begin her training in critical care nephrology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital in Singapore.
