Since 2018, ISN has been a member of the WHO Global Coordination Mechanism. ISN met with high-level officials to discuss its work and activities with the WHO Global Coordination Mechanism.
The ISN-WHO Collaboration Plan currently focuses on developing a dialysis guidance document package to support Member States in low-resource settings create dialysis programs. It is also helping to establish an observatory to facilitate information exchange about chronic kidney disease of unknown origin.
ISN is uniquely positioned to be the only kidney organisation in official relationship with the WHO. We ensure that the needs of the kidney health community are represented at the highest possible global policy level by developing joint activities with WHO in the area of kidney care education, awareness and management.
