ISN-ACT clinical trial toolkit survey: results are out!
Many thanks to everybody who responded to the ISN-ACT toolkit questionnaire. Responses revealed a strong interest in getting more guidance to design and conduct clinical trials. This information will contribute to the ongoing development of an ISN-ACT clinical trials toolkit.
Responses were received from 92 centers with varying levels of experience in designing, leading or participating in clinical trials, and included many that are not currently sites for multi-center trials.
Respondents to the questionnaire identified the importance of having information about existing trials looking for new sites, trial design and statistical analysis as well as a facility to register interest in trial participation as leading priorities. They also want more information on becoming a trial site, protocol development, regulatory considerations, safety and trial-result reporting.
The ISN Advancing Clinical Trials (ISN-ACT) group aims to encourage the global nephrology community to conduct and participate in more clinical trial research.
The ISN-ACT toolkit working group is developing a clinical trials toolkit for nephrologists and sent out a survey to gather feedback from ISN members about the need for and potential uses of a clinical trials toolkit. Discover all the activities of ISN-ACT, here.
