UK and Egypt sister centers take education up a level
Teams from Mansoura International Hospital (Egypt) and the UK’s Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, NHS recently played a important role in leading training activities during kidney week at Minya University in Egypt.
Local professionals took part in several valuable, hands-on workshops, focusing on interventional nephrology, parathyroidectomy, continuous renal replacement therapy, nutrition, renal and Dopper ultrasound as well as engineering.
The week of activities also included a day dedicated to nursing and welcoming 150 nurses from different renal units within Minya. See more HERE.
The first day of the conference highlighted chronic kidney disease-mineral and bone disorder, including presentations and cases studies. Day two focused on dialysis, helping improve patient services in this area of the country.
Many thanks to a great team of nephrologists, surgeons, renal nutritionist, biomedical engineers and nurses for their dedication in deveoping in training opportunity.
