Saving Young Lives dialysis course taking place in Cape Town
The 2016 edition of Clinical Dialysis Skills Course has kicked off in South Africa today. An initiative supported by the Saving Young Lives (SYL) initiative and organized by the Red Cross Children’s War Memorial Hospital in Cape Town under the leadership of Mignon McCulloch.
More than 15 pairs of doctors and nurses from all over Africa are attending this unique mix of theoretical lectures and practical training around peritoneal dialysis (PD), helping physicians to understand the practical challenges of inserting PD catheters in children and adults.
