ISN ANIO CNC Program success published in KI
Kidney International (KI) has now reported on the success of the ISN ANIO Online Clinical Nephropathology Certificate (CNC) Program as an innovative form of training for renal pathologists globally.
ISN and the American Nephrologists of Indian Origin (ANIO) developed a year-long web-based Clinical Nephrology Certificate Program for physicians looking for training in the principles and practices of nephropathology, providing valuable training in countries with limited nephropathology resources.
In 2013, the CNC program was open to physicians in India and 2014 saw the program expanded to the rest of the world, with priority given to applicant in-training from India and low- and middle income countries. The most represented country continues to be India, followed by Nigeria and Egypt.
New information technologies play an important role in the education of new generations, and educators should capitalize on this new direction in learning and teaching.1–3 This ever expanding innovative technology has enabled the development of new and exciting educational programs for worldwide professional communities.
