WKD 2014 screening at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center
A successful World Kidney Day screening event was held at the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center (KCMC) in Moshi, Tanzania.
In all, more than 1500 patients were screened for hypertension, diabetes, Chronic Kidney Disease, and obesity, and the disease burden was stunning.
Credit really should be given to Dr. Akrabi Hudaa and her colleagues at KCMC including attending, medicines residents, and medical students. They really did a fantastic job, and we were lucky to be a part of it.
