First Indian Pediatric Dialysis Training Course and AKI Seminar
Last year saw the ISN organize the first Indian Pediatric Dialysis Training course in collaboration with the Medicity Hospital in Gurgaon, Haryana, India. Over two days, delegates from all over India joined the discussions. They were also accompanied by participants from Kuwait and the Royal Hospital in Oman
The course included workshops on Acute Kidney Injury (AKI), peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis, vascular access and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT).
ISN speaker Timothy Bunchman interacted with the audience and spoke on Neonatal AKI and CRRT. He also gave a session on Anticoagulation in Dialysis, which was widely appreciated by the crowd. From the International Pediatric Nephrology Association’s side, Rupesh Raina spoke on peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis, and gave workshops on hemodialysis and CRRT.
Lastly to celebrate this first training course, a new journal on Pediatric Nephrology was launched at the event. It was an excellent opportunity to present its special issue on pediatric AKI.
