Deputy Chair, ISN Education Working Group
Call for Expressions of Interest and Nominations
The ISN welcomes expressions of interest and nominations for the position of Deputy Chair of the ISN Education Working Group (EWG), succeeding Roberto Pecoits-Filho who will become Chair of the Committee in replacement of Tushar Vachharajani, at the ISN World Congress of Nephrology 2021 (WCN’21).
The Education Working Group is a key component in the development of ISN’s online educational offerings and brings together nephrologists and health care professionals in the field of nephrology from around the world. The EWG supports the development of educational resources in nephrology, with a particular focus for online learning through the ISN Academy.
This is a volunteer leadership position for a period of approximately 2 years, starting at WCN’21 and ending at WCN’23. At the end of their term, the Deputy Chair is then expected to succeed the Chair. There is no honorarium attached to this role.
The main work of the EWG is to develop and implement an educational strategy for ISN and to support the development of educational resources and materials for the ISN Academy. The work is year-round and consists of monthly conference calls with other EWG leadership members and continues contact with the ISN Academy staff via email and conference call. The ISN EWG as a whole ordinarily has a face-to-face meeting at the WCN and/or American Society of Nephrology Kidney Week.
