2023 ISN-GKHA Paper on Quality and Monitoring of Kidney Care Published in Nephrology
Nephrology has published the paper “Structures for Quality Assurance and Measurements for Kidney Replacement Therapies: A Multinational Study From the ISN-GKHA” by Ekrikpo et al.
This study evaluates the capacity for delivering quality kidney failure care globally using data from the 2023 ISN Global Kidney Health Atlas (GKHA).
The findings highlight variability in quality assurance standards, particularly infrequent in low-income countries. These results underscore the need for standardization in kidney failure care to improve patient outcomes, particularly in low-income settings.
