ISN Continuing Medical Education (CME) Committee Members

The ISN welcomes expressions of interest/nominations for the ISN Continuing Medical Education (CME) Committee. The positions will start at the World Congress of Nephrology 2025 (WCN’25).

About the ISN Continuing Medical Education (CME) Committee

The Continuing Medical Education (CME) Committee helps to manage the CME Program, which is part of the overall Capacity Building effort of the ISN and strives to bring essential teaching and training to doctors and healthcare practitioners in low, lower-middle- and upper-middle-income countries as per World Bank status. The program supports faculty to present talks and workshops at regional nephrology-related meetings, bringing expert speakers together from around the world to share knowledge and experience in clinical care and research, and intends to establish a dialogue amongst the various nephrology communities, stimulate their interest in expanding their programs and develop relationships with experts who can provide additional information and support as well as trigger some interest in the ISN activities and network.

The objectives of the ISN CME Committee are to:

  • Ensure implementation of the ISN strategic framework – as defined by ISN governing bodies (Executive Committee/Council) – in decision-making process and across all activities of the CME Program.
  • Distribute the budget allocated to the CME Program in the most equitable possible manner (depending on the incoming applications) and in a way that is consistent with the aims of the Program and the ISN strategic planning framework (objectives and priorities).
  • Actively engage and liaise with ISN Regional Boards and other relevant ISN Supporting Groups to maximise information exchange and strategic planning while promoting the Program’s activities.
