Living Kidney Donors’ Healthcare Needs, Experiences and Perspectives Across Their Entire Donation Trajectory: A Semi-Structured, In-depth Interview Study

This qualitative descriptive study examined the experiences of living kidney donors (LKDs) throughout care. It aimed to identify gaps in information and care as LKDs transitioned through different phases.

The results reveal gaps in post-donation care for LKDs, leading to feelings of neglect, and poor communication. The authors suggest integrated LKD care models and ongoing psychosocial support beyond the donation phase to address these issues and improve long-term outcomes globally.

Systematic Review on Treatment and Outcomes of Tuberculous Peritonitis in Patients on Peritoneal Dialysis

To better understand the epidemiology, management, and outcomes of peritoneal dialysis (PD)-associated peritonitis due to tuberculosis, the authors reviewed existing literature on this condition in patients undergoing PD as well as cases of it in PD patients in Australia and New Zealand.

The results demonstrate that tuberculous peritonitis is uncommon in patients on PD and is associated with poor outcomes.
