CKD Early Identification & Intervention Toolkit
To address the burden of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and its impact on global morbidity, the ISN and KDIGO collaborated on a series of tools for CKD early identification and intervention for kidney health professionals and physicians and nurses working in primary care.
The toolkit includes:

- Early screening booklet
- Webinars
- Articles
- Patient resources
The quick guide, designed to facilitate the widespread adoption of strategies to identify and treat CKD, will be available in over 50 languages by the end of 2023.
Complement-Mediated Kidney Diseases Toolkit
This toolkit presents an overview of complement-mediated
kidney diseases, which, although rarer and less well-known, are an important and complex area of kidney health that needs to be better recognized to provide optimal care.

Optimization of RAASi Therapy Toolkit
Since 2021, the ISN has collaborated with the American Society for Preventative Cardiology, the Heart Failure Association of the European Society of Cardiology, the Kidney Disease Improving Global Outcomes, and the Renal Physicians Association to create toolkits to advance the prevention and management of cardio-renal complications.
The first toolkit comprises five focused and practical infographics of RAASi therapy and related complications, including:
- Monitoring and managing hyperkalemia
- Monitoring and managing acute changes in kidney function
- Dietary approaches
The RAASi tools are also available in Spanish and Japanese.
Look out for the second toolkit on SGLT2i optimization in 2024.
This comprehensive toolkit, developed by the ISN in collaboration with the ISN Academy, the Young Nephrologists Committee and the ISN Clinical Research Program Committee, hosts all the ISN’s research resources in one place.
These resources help support nephrologists, especially younger generations, to contribute to advancing kidney health worldwide through research projects.
