Through the mentorship program, Dr. Rage wanted to increase his knowledge in specialized areas of hemodialysis, acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and kidney failure, and improve his writing and research methodology.

During the program, Hamze spent a month with Dr. Jha at Medanta Hospital in India to get practical exposure to clinical nephrology, interventional procedures, hemodialysis, and renal transplantation.

Hamze comments, “My mentorship experience has been excellent. I express my appreciation to the ISN mentorship program for this opportunity. I would also like to thank my mentor, Dr. Jha. Being under his supervision has been a fantastic experience.”

He wants to use the experience and skills gained during his ISN mentorship to improve kidney care in Africa through research, training, education, and advocacy. Dr. Rage was the recipient of the Detlef Schlöndorff ISN Fellowship in 2022.

The ISN mentorship program is open to all active ISN Members and Associate Members.
