Join the Discussion on Organ Trafficking at the DICG Workshop at WCN’23 and Hear From the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime
The Declaration of Istanbul Custodian Group (DICG) workshop, “Trafficking in Persons for Organ Removal,” will be held on location at WCN’23* on Friday, March 31, from 2-4.45 p.m. Bangkok time.

Join the workshop to hear speakers from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODOC) on their mandate and toolkit on the investigation and prosecution of trafficking in persons for the purpose of organ removal (TIP for OR) as well as ongoing efforts to address TIP for OR:
- Sylwia Gawronska, (Thailand) UNODOC regional programme advisor, human trafficking and migrant smuggling for Southeast Asia and the Pacific
- Rebecca Miller, (Thailand) UNODOC regional programme coordinator, human trafficking and migrant smuggling for Southeast Asia and the Pacific
- Aimée Comrie, (Austria) UNODOC project coordinator for GLO.ACT Asia and the Middle East
Dr. Sanjay Nagral and Dr.Thomas Müller, DICG co-chairs, will moderate the discussion.
Participants will have the chance to discuss collaborative strategies to address TIP for OR with UNODOC and DICG councilors.
A panel of transplant experts will share information and experiences in addressing illicit organ removal.
