Improving Kidney Care in South Asia and OSEA: Saving Young Lives Holds Workshop at the ISPD Congress and Strategy Session to Explore Opportunities for Expansion
Participants at the Saving Young Lives workshop held at the ISPD congress
As part of the ISPD congress program, the Saving Young Lives (SYL) Project welcomed 27 participants from South Asia and the Oceania and Southeast Asia (OSEA) regions to a two-day workshop.
The workshop included lectures and a hands-on practical session where catheter insertion was demonstrated, with each participant performing the procedure at least once.
In addition, the SYL team held a development strategy meeting at the ISPD congress, inviting key stakeholders from South Asia and OSEA regions to discuss barriers and opportunities to SYL expansion in these countries.
The Saving Young Lives Project is a joint partnership between the ISN, the IPNA, the ISPD, and Euro PD. The project provides training and educational activities to equip local doctors to identify and prevent AKI cases needing hospital care.
