How did the ISN support enable you to advance kidney health in your home country?

My career got a major boost after my ISN Fellowship in South Africa! I am proud of my kidney health promotion and advocacy in Ghana through Kidney Health International, a kidney health promotion non-profit organization I founded. I am the Educational Committee Chair, Ghana Kidney Association; Chair of the Young Nephrologist Committee, AFRAN; privileged to be part of the cohort of Emerging Leaders Program (ELP), a member of the DOPPS/ISN COVID-19 research group; Member of the ISN Education Committee and ISN Social Media team. I am a Senior Atlantic Fellow for Health Equity (George Washington University), a Senior Lecturer and Author.

What does the future look like?

Set up a sustainable program to promote kidney health, early detection of kidney disease and equitable access to optimum care in Ghana and beyond. Serve to achieve the vision of AFRAN and ISN. Set up a state-of-the-art Kidney Centre in Ghana to provide quality but affordable care.
