World Kidney Day activities are prominent tools to draw attention of society with variety of main themes annually. With all these efforts, the Turkish Kidney Foundation is proud to be a part of significant achievements on reduced salt intake from 18 grams to 14 grams/day, state involvement on long term kidney health policies, national regulations on reducing salt amount in bread production, removing salt shakers from restaurants/cafes.
Our recent challenge is the pandemic rules which keep us away from field activities and direct communication with people. During Covid-19 pandemic, we removed all of our kidney health contents into digital medium and achieved to reach millions of people from all ages even if they are to remain in their homes.
