Amplification of the Presentation of the Main Results of the FIGARO Trial

FIGARO-DKD is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group, event-driven Phase III study that investigated finerenone versus placebo in patients with CKD and T2D. FIGARO-DKD included more patients with earlier stage CKD and type 2 diabetes compared with FIDELIO-DKD. The study showed finerenone significantly reduced the composite risk of time to first occurrence of cardiovascular (CV) death or non-fatal CV events (myocardial infarction, stroke, or hospitalization for heart failure). FIGARO-DKD とは、糖尿病（T2D）で慢性腎臓病（CKD）のある患者におけるフィネレノンとプラセボの効果の比較検討を目的とした、無作為化、二重盲検、プラセボ対照、並行群間、イベント駆動型の第III相試験です。FIGARO-DKDには、FIDELIO-DKDよりも早期CKDや2型糖尿病の患者が多く含まれていました。本試験では、フィネレノンによって心臓血管（CV）による死亡や非致死的な心臓血管イベント（心筋梗塞、脳卒中、心不全による入院）の初回発生時までの複合リスクが著しく低減することが明らかとなりました。本ウェビナーでは、FIGARO-DKDの試験結果について考察し、さらに腎臓内科や循環器内科の観点から臨床実践への影響についてご説明します。
