Join the ISN Eastern and Central Europe Regional Workshop session in Sarajevo
On September 17, 2016, the ISN Eastern and Central Europe Regional Workshop will take place in Sarajevo as part of an ISN Continuing Medical Educational course organized with the Society of Nephrology, Dialysis and Kidney Transplantation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This session will cover the latest on ISN Program activities in Eastern and Central Europe. It is a unique chance to get information on applying for the programs as well as meet past and present participants. Talks will begin at 3pm and end with a networking coffee break at 4.15pm.
ISN Continuing Medical Education Program Chair Fred Finkelstein will introduce the ISN Programs. This will be followed by an update on recent ISN Program activities in Turkey, presented by ISN Regional Board Chair Rumeyza Kazancioglu.
There will also be testimonies from ISN Fellow Mirna Alečković from Bosnia and Herzegovina and a presentation on the ISN Sister Renal Centers partnership between the United Kingdom and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This session is part of a two-day Continuing Medical Education course starting on September 17, 2016 and focusing on acute kidney injury (AKI) and the feasibility of peritoneal dialysis in the region.
Other sessions will highlight the issues of managing AKI and present new data from the ISN Oby25 Initiative. The course will also look at novel findings and future directions in treating CKD-MBD, VDR activation as well as the role of nephrologists in providing vascular access care and dealing with complications for hemodialysis patients.
