This session on optimizing PD focuses on a case study involving a seven-year-old girl with primary steroid-resistant nephrotic syndrome secondary to focal segmental glomerulosclerosis that progressed rapidly to end-stage kidney disease (ESKD).
The webinar will demonstrate:
- Optimizing ultrafiltration
- Assessing and optimizing solute clearance on PD
- Assessment of the membrane by the PET
This case-based online teaching program supports the training needs of active Sister Renal Centers (SRC) pairs and other centers in LMICs.
The initiative was developed by the ISN, in partnership with the International Pediatric Nephrology Association (IPNA) and Dr. Rukshana Shroff, Great Ormond Street Hospital, London, UK.
A recording of the Grand Rounds will be open-access and available on the ISN Academy. Watch the previous edition here.
