What educational content could help improve kidney care in your community?

Earlier this year, the ISN CME Program supported the "Acute Kidney Injury Across Two Continents: An Anglo-Indian Virtual AKI Symposium" organized by an ISN Sister Renal Centers (SRC) pair between health centers in Hyderabad, India, and Birmingham in the UK.

Renin-angiotensin Aldosterone Inhibitor Use at Hospital Discharge Among Patients with Moderate to Severe Acute Kidney Injury and its Association with Recurrent Acute Kidney Injury and Mortality

This study examined whether Renin-angiotensin aldosterone inhibitors (RAASi) are associated with an increased risk of recurrent AKI and mortality among survivors of moderate to severe AKI.

The authors found this patient category showed improved survival rates when treated with RAASi rather than an increased risk for recurrent AKI.
