ISN presents the Interventional Nephrology case series
Intervention Nephrology (IN) specializes in providing care for dialysis access and has become an increasingly important sub-specialty in nephrology.
The ISN’s Interventional Nephrology Working Group has developed a consensus document, “International Society of Nephrology’s initiative on interventional nephrology minimum training and program-building standards in resource-limited countries,” outlining the minimum standards needed to practice interventional nephrology in low-resource settings without compromising safety and quality of care.
Appropriate skills to create and manage dialysis access are essential to:
- Avoid major medical sequelae.
- Reduce overall morbidity and mortality.
The ISN Academy is pleased to launch a case series providing education on IN.
The first case, “The Vascath is still not Working,” is presented by Dr. Stephen May, Renal Physician and Interventional Nephrologist at Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital NSW Australia.
